About this wood
Kameeldoring (camelthorn) is the heavyweight of braai woods. It is exceptionally dense, which means fewer pieces, less smoke and coals that keep working for hours. This is the wood you want for a long Sunday braai, a big potjie, or a fireplace on a cold Cape night.
How it burns
Slow to catch, extremely long burn, intense coals. Use a starter bag or a few pieces of rooikrans to get it going.
